Untangled applies trauma-informed concepts through a biblical lens.

Untangled is a powerful small group study designed to help men and women overcome the effects of past physical, emotional, sexual, and spiritual abuse.

Gender-specific groups provide a higher level of emotional safety for most.

Our story

Untangled was born out of my own story of trying to overcome interpersonal trauma and abuse. In the aftermath of abuse that culminated in attempted murder, I began to seek answers. How did I get here? How do I heal? Am I too broken now? What about my kids? The answers were hard to find, but as I sought the Lord, he began to show me.

He also showed me I was not the only one. One in every four women and one in nine men wilI be severely abused in their lifetime. I walked through healing with others as I learned to walk through mine.

After experiencing church hurt, I began to seek healing from that and realized there were not enough resources for survivors.

Untangled is the culmination of over 20 years of learning on this healing journey.

Now we have a growing team of therapists and lay-people who have walked this path of healing and now lead groups in their own churches and communities.
